Ever walk into a Bloomingdales and notice boutiques or little shops within the department store such as; Burberry and Louis Vuitton? In an attempt to change things up and set itself apart from others, Target has decided to house local and national boutiques but also make their products available on-line. And for Apple crazy fans like myself I was glad to hear they will also be carrying Apple products. With ideas of collaborating with designers and now including boutiques Target is definitely setting themselves apart. And an even more brilliant idea is to switch boutiques after six weeks and then house different boutiques in the fall. This will definitely keep things fresh and new and will range from shoes, clothing, housewares, to candy and dog biscuits. But what I most like about this is that local shops are being given an opportunity for exposure and not just the larger brands. Reminder for all you Target lovers don’t forget the Jason Wu collaboration launching February 5th.
