KARL LAGERFELD LESS EXPENSIVE LINE

12 Flares 12 Flares ×

The Countdown Begins!!! 2 days left for the legendary Karl Lagerfeld to launch his affordable line called “karl” via Net-a-Porter on-line on January 25th and available on  http://www.karl.com/ on February 28th. Karl Lagerfeld has done previous lower priced lines in collaboration with H&M and Macy’s which both were BOTH a huge success.  “Karl” is designed with a rock ‘n’ roll edge and the price point will ONLY be $95 to $450 and leather jackets at $1000 with 100 pieces available in the collection. I say only because compared to Chanel prices well we know that is extremely less expensive making it accessible to more people like you and I.

NOT EVERYONE IS HAPPY that designers are collaborating with stores like H&M and Target in an effort to make designer clothing more accessible. Designers like Dolce & Gabbana have been quoted as saying these kind of collections are “cheap and trashy” so don’t expect to see Dolce and Gabbana any time soon to make their designs available for the average joe like you and I. Although there is no denying the creative ability  of Dolce & Gabbana I can not help but to say they need to get over themselves and stop being do damn pretentious (for lack of better words)!!!!!

What are your thoughts of Dolce & Gabbana feelings over designer collaborations?
